THE CHANGE SPECIALIST
COACHING FOR MUMS AND DADS
A baby's smile is precious, and new parents can spend hours watching as that smile and personality develop, but sometimes it is natural for parents to want a little more.
Coaching will help you identify what you really want to do both now and in the future.
Mums and dads have many questions and coaching will help them find answers.
The kind of things that coaching will help you with:
1. The 'terrible teens'?
2. Your child has left home?
3. When mum and dad do not agree.
4. When parents separate.
5. When things do not go as you thought they would.
6. When dad feels left out.
7. Sorting out a relationship when mum is so tired, all she does is sleep.
8. Organising a routine.
9. Making time for mum and dad to be the people they were before.
10. Supporting grandparents who care for children regain their lives
For example, will you stay home with your children or will you go back to work? Who can you ask to babysit? Who will mind your children and will you be able to trust them? Can you start a new business from home? How will you make new friends?
We all want change to happen. It enhances our lives and there are times when the only changes you want are small: you want a little peace and quiet, a tidy living room, someone else to put the washing on and a nice warm bath.
I will show you how to make time to be yourself, so you can plan your day, your week, your regime and decide what to do next.
TESTIMONIALS:
Allie said: "my 30 minutes phone call every two weeks is my life line. Sue is an experienced mum, nan and I haven't met anyone who understands teenagers so well as her, probably because she used to teach them."
Jo said: "Sue gives me a space to sound off, to plan, to decide - thanks Sue!"
WHY ME?
Some mums hire me as their coach when they want to reorganise their busy working week so they can spend more time with their children. Others because they need to talk to another adult who understands how they feel and who believes in them.
Some dads hire me because they feel left out, they love their new baby but they also want some time with their wife. Time management is my speciality.
You can talk to me about anything as long as it is legal and you can be assured that whatever you say will remain confidential. The only time I will breach this agreement is when I think someone is in danger or a child is being abused.
I probably do not fit the stereotype of a Life Coach:
I have three grown up children, six grandchildren and I spent 12 years managing a programme for teenagers with background issues. Many were refugees who saw things no child should be allowed to see. Others from were from extremely unhappy backgrounds - and it was my job to turn them around and give them something to strive after.
I have just stepped down as a school governor at a special school in Essex, having served a wonderful three-year term there as a Local Authority Governor. I fully understand both the joys and the issues that living with special children can bring.
I can offer you a lot of experience, I am a mother and grandmother. I am fully insured.
Empty nest syndrome: I work with people whose children have left home. Often they do not know what to do when they find they have a lot of spare time and have little idea about how to fill it. We will talk through your options and you will decide which of them you will choose and then I will work with you as you develop your new role, whether that includes finding a job, new interests, starting a new business or returning to learning.
